I’ve always known Whitehall Diner for a casual food experience, nothing more. Until last night! Without reservations on Valentines Day my husband and I decided to go out to dinner. After realizing all the local restaurants were packed even at 5:30 we went to the Whitehall Diner with no expectations. After being greeted and seated by welcoming staff we reviewed the menu. The specials included steak and fish selections that sounded delish. I ordered the queen size prime rib, my husband the NY strip with lump crab meat in hollandaise sauce. Our meals were top notch! The salad was fresh, the service was fast and the food came out quickly and hot. The steak was one of the best prime rib dinners I’ve ever had. Although I know I always have good food at the Whitehall Diner I wasn’t expecting this level of quality food. Maybe the Whitehall Diner may not be the first place you think of for a romantic dinner it should be on the top of the list for an excellent dinner. Thank you to all the staff at the Whitehall Diner for a delicious Valentine meal.
Excellent breakfast food, reasonable prices. Fantastic service. Julissa was so pleasant and personable, a friendly face to start the day. Four stars for food only because I'd love to see some gluten free options but we'll be back.
My husband and I stopped by Whitehall Diner today after spending the day moving things into our new home and getting our refrigerator delivered. We were tired, hungry, and just needed a good meal. To be honest, before coming in, we weren’t sure what to expect. As Black people moving into a new area, there’s always a moment of wondering whether a place is going to feel welcoming and comfortable. I’m happy to say that from the moment we walked in, we had a wonderful experience. The service was excellent. Our waitress was attentive, friendly, and on top of everything without being intrusive. The menu had so many great options that it was honestly hard to decide what to order. My husband had a sandwich with fries, and everything was cooked perfectly. I ordered the spinach and chicken salad with walnuts, feta cheese, and balsamic dressing, and it was absolutely delicious. The flavors were balanced perfectly, and the dressing had just the right touch of sweetness. The prices were reasonable, the portions were great, and the food was fresh and flavorful. One thing about me: when something isn’t good, I’ll tell you. But when something is really good, I believe in talking about that too. Whitehall Diner earned that praise today. In fact, we enjoyed it so much that we’re already planning to come back for breakfast tomorrow. Thank you for a great meal and a welcoming experience. We’ll definitely be back!
This place is great for casual dining. The few times I’ve been here were great experiences. The service is on top, as well as having affordable prices with good food. My only problem is that the place is loud, which isn’t really the fault of the diner though. I would 100% recommend if you’re in the area looking for something good and cheap.

Fantastic dining experience, my server Janelle gave fantastic recommendations. Our main dishes and sides were to die for good. Janelle was very attentive the entire time with a smile on her face.
Stopped by Whitehall Diner and once again, it did not disappoint. I had the wake and bacon, and this tower was absolutely awesome stacked, flavorful, and exactly what I needed. The home fries completely sealed the deal… crispy, seasoned perfectly, and just hit the spot. Food here is consistently amazing, and the service is just as good super friendly and always quick. It’s the kind of place you can count on every time. Definitely one of my go-to spots!
We were seated right away and our server was attentive. The food came out quickly and tasted great - just like how you imagine diner food should be. It was very crowded there on a Sunday afternoon, but all the staff handled the crowd well.
Stopped here on a rainy Monday, we were one of the only people in there at he time. Our waiter was very friendly and treated us like he knew us already. I had a bowl of chicken noodle soup, it was excellent. My boyfriend got chicken croquettes and a side of coleslaw and I had a burger and fries. Both of those were also excellent and really hit the spot. The place is huge and would definitely go over well for big parties. I want to thank our waiter again, really such a nice guy, service was outstanding.
